Variegated Anthurium Vittarifolium is a rare tropical Anthurium known for its long, narrow strap-like leaves with cream, white, yellow, or minty variegation. Its cascading foliage gives it a dramatic look, making it a great choice for hanging baskets, tall shelves, plant cabinets, and bright indoor spaces.
The proper botanical name is commonly listed as Anthurium vittarifolium ‘Variegata’ or Anthurium vittarifolium variegated.
Care
Variegated Anthurium Vittarifolium does best in bright, indirect light. Brighter filtered light helps support healthy growth and maintain variegation. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves, especially the lighter variegated sections.
Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil feels dry and allow water to drain. Anthuriums prefer lightly moist soil, but they do not like sitting in wet soil, so avoid watering too frequently.
Use a well-draining, chunky potting mix and a pot with drainage. A mix with houseplant soil, orchid bark, perlite, coco coir, and a little sphagnum moss works well.
Variegated Anthurium Vittarifolium prefers warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity. Higher humidity can help support longer, healthier leaves and reduce crispy edges. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning.
This plant grows best when its leaves have room to hang freely. A hanging basket or elevated pot works well as it matures.
