Philodendron Paraiso Verde is a tropical houseplant known for its long, narrow green leaves with mottled light green, yellow-green, and cream variegation. Its unique marbled pattern gives each leaf a different look, making it a great choice for collectors, plant stands, moss poles, and bright indoor spaces.
The proper botanical name is commonly listed as Philodendron ‘Paraiso Verde’.
Philodendron Paraiso Verde does best in bright, indirect light. Brighter filtered light helps support strong growth and better variegation. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves, especially the lighter variegated sections.
Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil feels dry and allow water to drain. Philodendrons prefer lightly moist soil, but they do not like sitting in wet soil, so avoid watering too frequently.
Use a well-draining, chunky potting mix and a pot with drainage. A mix with houseplant soil, orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir works well.
Philodendron Paraiso Verde prefers warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity. Warmer conditions can help bring out stronger variegation. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning.
This plant appreciates support as it matures. A moss pole or trellis can help encourage larger leaves and a more upright growth habit.
Philodendron plants are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep them away from cats, dogs, and small children.
