Variegated Hoya Heuschkeliana
Variegated Hoya Heuschkeliana is a small-leaf trailing Hoya known for its compact growth, waxy foliage, and creamy white or yellow variegation. Its delicate vines and colorful leaves make it a great choice for shelves, hanging baskets, small pots, and bright indoor spaces.
The proper botanical name is commonly listed as Hoya heuschkeliana ‘Variegata’ or Hoya heuschkeliana variegated.
Care
Variegated Hoya Heuschkeliana does best in bright, indirect light. Brighter filtered light helps support stronger growth, better variegation, and blooming. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves, especially the lighter variegated areas.
Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil feels dry and allow water to drain. Hoyas prefer to dry out a bit between waterings and do not like sitting in wet soil, so avoid watering too frequently.
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix and a pot with drainage. A mix with houseplant soil, orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir works well.
Variegated Hoya Heuschkeliana prefers warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity. Higher humidity can help support fuller growth and healthier leaves. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning.
This Hoya can produce small, bell-shaped flowers when mature and grown in bright indirect light. Avoid cutting off old bloom spurs, since Hoyas can rebloom from the same spots.
