Description
Aglaonema ‘Bamboo’ is a unique Chinese Evergreen variety known for its narrow, upright foliage and easy-care nature. Its leaves often feature shades of green with lighter patterning, giving the plant a clean, tropical look. The more vertical growth habit gives it a bamboo-like appearance, making it a great choice for desks, shelves, offices, plant stands, and smaller indoor spaces.
Light Requirements
For best color and growth, place Aglaonema ‘Bamboo’ in medium to bright indirect light. It can tolerate lower light conditions, though growth may slow and the foliage may become less vibrant. Avoid direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering
Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage to help prevent root issues. Aglaonema are forgiving plants and can handle the occasional missed watering.
Temperature & Humidity
This plant prefers warm indoor temperatures and average household humidity. Keep it away from cold drafts, air vents, and temperatures below 60°F.
Pet Safety
Aglaonema ‘Bamboo’ is not considered pet-safe and can be toxic if ingested by cats or dogs. It is best to keep it out of reach of pets that may chew on plants.
Best For
Aglaonema ‘Bamboo’ is a great choice for plant owners who want a low-maintenance houseplant with upright growth, tropical foliage, and beginner-friendly care needs.
