Begonia Listada
Begonia Listada is a beautiful tropical begonia known for its dark green, velvety leaves with a bright lime-green stripe running down the center. The undersides of the leaves often have a rich red tone, giving the plant a bold look from every angle.
The proper botanical name is Begonia listada.
Care
Begonia Listada does best in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate medium light, but brighter filtered light helps support stronger growth and better leaf color. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Keep the soil lightly moist, but not soggy. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Begonias do not like drying out completely, but they are also sensitive to overwatering.
Use a well-draining potting mix. A light houseplant mix with added perlite, orchid bark, or coco coir works well.
Begonia Listada prefers higher humidity and warm indoor temperatures. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning. Good airflow also helps prevent leaf issues.
Avoid getting the leaves too wet when watering, since begonias can be prone to spotting or mildew in low airflow.
