Description
Dracaena ‘Marley’ is a stylish, easy-care houseplant known for its upright growth and long, arching foliage. Its leaves often feature rich green coloring with lighter striping or variegation, giving the plant a clean tropical look without needing a lot of space. Its structured shape makes it a great choice for offices, plant corners, decorative pots, entryways, and bright indoor spaces.
Light Requirements
For best growth, place Dracaena ‘Marley’ in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate medium light, but brighter indirect light will help support stronger growth and better leaf color. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Dracaena prefer to dry slightly between waterings and do not like sitting in soggy soil. Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage to help prevent root rot. Dracaena can be sensitive to minerals in tap water, so filtered, distilled, or rainwater may help reduce brown leaf tips.
Temperature & Humidity
This plant does well in average household humidity and prefers warm indoor temperatures. Keep it away from cold drafts, air vents, and temperatures below 60°F.
Pet Safety
Dracaena ‘Marley’ is not considered pet-safe and can be toxic if ingested by cats or dogs. Keep it out of reach of pets and children.
Best For
Dracaena ‘Marley’ is best for offices, entryways, decorative pots, plant corners, and plant owners who want a low-maintenance houseplant with upright tropical foliage and a clean modern look.
