Description
Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Yellow Flame’ is a striking climbing tropical plant known for its elongated green leaves with bright yellow to golden variegation. Each leaf develops its own unique pattern, giving the plant a bold, colorful look. As it matures, the leaves may grow larger and develop fenestrations, especially when given support such as a moss pole or trellis.
Light Requirements
For best color and growth, place Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Yellow Flame’ in bright, indirect light. Brighter indirect light will help maintain stronger yellow variegation and encourage fuller growth. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves, especially the lighter variegated areas.
Watering
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Use a chunky, well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage to help prevent root issues. Epipremnum prefer lightly moist soil, but they should not sit in standing water.
Temperature & Humidity
This plant prefers warm indoor temperatures and average to higher humidity. Keep it away from cold drafts, air vents, and temperatures below 60°F. Providing a moss pole or trellis can help encourage larger leaves and stronger climbing growth.
Pet Safety
Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Yellow Flame’ is not considered pet-safe and can be toxic if ingested by cats or dogs. It is best to keep it out of reach of pets that may chew on plants.
Best For
Epipremnum pinnatum ‘Yellow Flame’ is a great choice for plant owners who want a colorful, climbing tropical plant with bold variegation, manageable care needs, and a rare collector look.
