Hoya Cumingiana Albo
Hoya Cumingiana Albo is a charming tropical houseplant known for its small, waxy leaves with creamy white outer variegation. Its compact, slightly upright growth habit makes it a great choice for shelves, small pots, plant stands, and bright indoor spaces.
The proper botanical name is commonly listed as Hoya cumingiana ‘Albomarginata’ or Hoya cumingiana albo variegated. It may also be sold as Hoya cumingiana outer variegated.
Care
Hoya Cumingiana Albo does best in bright, indirect light. Brighter filtered light helps support stronger growth, better variegation, and blooming. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil feels dry and allow water to drain. Hoyas prefer to dry out a bit between waterings and do not like sitting in wet soil, so avoid watering too frequently.
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix and a pot with drainage. A mix with houseplant soil, orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir works well.
Hoya Cumingiana Albo prefers warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity. It can handle normal household humidity, but higher humidity can support stronger growth. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning.
This Hoya can produce clusters of small, fragrant flowers when mature and grown in bright indirect light. Avoid cutting off old bloom spurs, since Hoyas can rebloom from the same spots.
