Hoya Latifolia Rangsan Splash is a beautiful tropical houseplant known for its thick, waxy leaves with heavy silver splash patterning. Each leaf has its own unique markings, giving the plant a bright, speckled look. Its trailing or climbing growth habit makes it a great choice for shelves, hanging baskets, trellises, and bright indoor spaces.
The proper botanical name is commonly listed as Hoya latifolia ‘Rangsan Splash’. It may also be sold as Hoya macrophylla ‘Rangsan Splash’, since this plant has been listed under older or alternate naming by some growers.
Care
Hoya Latifolia Rangsan Splash does best in bright, indirect light. Brighter filtered light helps support stronger growth, better splash patterning, and blooming. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil feels dry and allow water to drain. Hoyas prefer to dry out a bit between waterings and do not like sitting in wet soil, so avoid watering too frequently.
Use a well-draining, airy potting mix and a pot with drainage. A mix with houseplant soil, orchid bark, perlite, and coco coir works well.
Hoya Latifolia Rangsan Splash prefers warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity. It can handle normal household humidity, but higher humidity can support fuller growth and healthier leaves. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning.
This Hoya can climb or trail as it matures. A trellis can help support larger leaves and a fuller shape. Mature plants can produce clusters of fragrant flowers in bright indirect light. Avoid cutting off old bloom spurs, since Hoyas can rebloom from the same spots.
