Pink Mermaid Tail Cactus is a unique ornamental succulent known for its wavy, crested growth and soft pink, cream, green, or variegated coloring. Although often called a cactus, many “Mermaid Tail” plants are actually crested Euphorbia varieties. Its sculptural shape gives it a bold, coral-like look, making it a standout choice for decorative pots, bright windows, cactus and succulent collections, and statement displays.
Light Requirements
Place Pink Mermaid Tail Cactus in very bright light. It can tolerate some gentle direct sun, especially morning sun, but harsh afternoon sun should be introduced slowly to prevent scorching. Variegated or pink sections can be more sensitive, so bright indirect light with some gentle sun is usually ideal.
Watering
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let all excess water drain away. Use a gritty, fast-draining cactus or succulent mix and avoid letting the plant sit in soggy soil. Water much less often during cooler months or slower growth periods.
Temperature & Humidity
This plant prefers warm temperatures, dry air, and good airflow. Keep it away from cold drafts and temperatures below 50–55°F. It does not need added humidity and is best suited for bright, dry indoor spaces.
