Description
Sansevieria ‘Silver Crown’ is a compact Snake Plant variety known for its thick, upright leaves with soft silver-green coloring and subtle darker striping. Its clean, structured shape gives it a modern look, while its smaller growth habit makes it easy to style on desks, shelves, plant stands, and in small indoor spaces.
Light Requirements
Sansevieria ‘Silver Crown’ can tolerate a wide range of light conditions, from low light to bright, indirect light. For best color and growth, place it in bright, indirect light. It can handle some direct sun, but harsh afternoon sun should be introduced gradually to avoid leaf scorch.
Watering
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Sansevieria store moisture in their thick leaves and are very sensitive to overwatering. Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage to help prevent root rot. Water much less often during cooler months.
Temperature & Humidity
This plant does well in average household humidity and prefers warm indoor temperatures. Keep it away from cold drafts, air vents, and temperatures below 55–60°F.
Pet Safety
Sansevieria ‘Silver Crown’ is not considered pet-safe and can be toxic if ingested by cats or dogs. Keep it out of reach of pets that like to chew on plants.
Best For
Sansevieria ‘Silver Crown’ is best for beginner plant owners, offices, desks, modern interiors, small spaces, and anyone who wants a hardy, low-water houseplant with soft silver-toned foliage.
