Sedum adolphii, commonly known as Golden Sedum or Golden Glow Sedum, is a colorful succulent known for its plump, pointed leaves and warm golden-green coloring. In bright light, the foliage may develop orange, yellow, or copper tones, giving the plant a bright, sun-kissed look. Its compact, trailing growth habit makes it a great choice for succulent arrangements, bright windows, hanging planters, and sunny shelves.
Light Requirements
For best color and growth, place Sedum adolphii in very bright light. It does best with bright indirect light to several hours of direct sun each day. Brighter light will help bring out stronger golden and orange tones. If moving it into stronger sun, acclimate it gradually to help prevent leaf burn.
Watering
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Sedum adolphii stores water in its thick leaves and prefers to stay on the dry side. Use a gritty, well-draining cactus or succulent mix and a pot with drainage to help prevent root rot.
Temperature & Humidity
This plant prefers warm temperatures, low to average humidity, and good airflow. Keep it away from cold drafts and temperatures below 50–60°F. Water less often during cooler months when growth slows.
