Syngonium Pink Splash
Syngonium Pink Splash is a colorful tropical houseplant known for its green, arrow-shaped leaves splashed and speckled with bright pink variegation. Each leaf develops a slightly different pattern, ranging from small pink flecks to larger patches of color. Its compact juvenile growth and eventual vining habit make it a great choice for shelves, plant stands, trellises, and colorful houseplant collections.
The proper name is commonly listed as Syngonium podophyllum ‘Pink Splash’. Syngonium podophyllum is an accepted species native from Mexico through tropical regions of the Americas, while ‘Pink Splash’ is the cultivated variety name used for this distinctive pink-variegated form.
Care
Syngonium Pink Splash does best in medium to bright, indirect light. Brighter filtered light can help maintain stronger pink variegation and encourage healthy growth. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, which can scorch the foliage.
Water thoroughly when the top inch or two of soil feels dry and allow excess water to drain. Syngonium prefer lightly moist soil during active growth but should not be kept constantly wet.
Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage. A standard houseplant mix amended with perlite, orchid bark, or coco coir works well and provides a good balance of moisture retention and airflow around the roots.
Syngonium Pink Splash prefers warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity. It can adapt to average household humidity, but additional humidity can encourage fuller growth and healthier foliage. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and air conditioning.
Young plants tend to grow upright and compact, but Syngonium naturally develop a vining or climbing growth habit as they mature. It can be allowed to trail or trained onto a moss pole, trellis, or other support.

Syngonium Pink Splash is toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Syngonium contain insoluble calcium oxalate crystals that can cause irritation of the mouth and digestive tract. Keep them away from pets and small children.
