Ficus Ginseng is a popular indoor plant known for its thick, sculptural roots and small, glossy green leaves. Its exposed root structure gives it a bonsai-like appearance, making it a great choice for desks, shelves, plant stands, and bright indoor spaces. It has a clean, compact look and brings a natural, decorative feel to any room.
For best growth, place Ficus Ginseng in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some gentle morning sun, but avoid harsh direct afternoon sun, which may scorch the leaves. Lower light may slow growth and cause leaf drop.
Allow the top 1–2 inches of soil to dry between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. Use a well-draining potting mix and a pot with drainage to help prevent root issues.
Ficus Ginseng prefers warm indoor temperatures and average to moderate humidity. Keep it away from cold drafts, heating vents, and sudden temperature changes. Like many Ficus varieties, it may drop leaves if moved often or exposed to stress from changes in light, temperature, or watering.
Ficus Ginseng is a great choice for anyone who wants a bonsai-style plant without the more intensive care of traditional bonsai.
