Description
Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ is a bright, self-heading Philodendron known for its glowing lime-green to chartreuse foliage. New leaves often emerge in vibrant yellow-green tones before maturing into softer green, giving the plant a fresh pop of color year-round. Its upright, compact growth habit makes it a great choice for decorative pots, plant stands, desks, shelves, offices, and bright indoor spaces.
Light Requirements
For best color and growth, place Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ in bright, indirect light. It can tolerate medium light, but brighter indirect light will help maintain its vibrant chartreuse coloring and fuller growth. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering
Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ prefers lightly moist soil but does not like to sit in soggy conditions. Use a chunky, well-draining aroid mix and a pot with drainage to help prevent root rot.
Temperature & Humidity
This plant prefers warm indoor temperatures and moderate to higher humidity. Keep it away from cold drafts, air vents, and temperatures below 60°F. Higher humidity can help support healthier new growth and larger leaves.
Pet Safety
Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ is not considered pet-safe and can be toxic if ingested by cats or dogs. Keep it out of reach of pets and children.
Best For
Philodendron ‘Moonlight’ is best for plant owners who want an easy-care tropical houseplant with bright foliage, compact upright growth, and a bold pop of color.
