Pilea Silver Baby Tears
Pilea Silver Baby Tears is a sweet, delicate trailing plant with tiny rounded leaves that have a soft silver-blue shimmer. Its full, cascading growth makes it perfect for small pots, shelves, hanging planters, and terrariums with good airflow.
This plant has a dainty look, but it is fairly easy to care for once you get the watering right. Give it bright, indirect light, keep the soil lightly moist, and avoid letting it sit in soggy soil. Because apparently even tiny plants have boundaries.
Care
Light:
Bright, indirect light is best. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch the small leaves. Too little light may cause the plant to stretch or thin out.
Water:
Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. Keep the soil lightly moist, but never soggy. This plant does not like fully drying out for too long.
Humidity:
Enjoys average to higher humidity. It does especially well in bathrooms, kitchens, or near a humidifier.
Soil:
Use a light, well-draining potting mix. A mix with added perlite or orchid bark helps prevent the roots from staying too wet.
Temperature:
Prefers warm indoor temperatures between 60°F and 80°F. Keep away from cold drafts.

Pilea plants are generally considered pet-friendly, but it is still best to keep all houseplants away from curious pets.
